Sprinklr wants enterprises to prove their AI agents work before trusting them with customers
When Sprinklr reported fiscal 2026 results on April 7, the headline numbers were solid: $857.2 million in full-year revenue, up 8 percent from $796.4 million the prior year, according to the company's 8-K filing with the SEC. Q4 came in at $220.6 million, up 9 percent year-over-year. The stock rose 9 percent the following day. Earnings season produces a lot of numbers that look impressive in isolation. These hold up.
But the more interesting thing Sprinklr did that day was launch a product.
Spring 26, the company's twice-yearly release cycle, introduced a feature called Autonomous Evaluation, a set of tools that lets enterprise teams test AI agent behavior before deployment, see explainable logs of what the agent decided and why, and run bulk validation at scale. The positioning is deliberate: Sprinklr is not selling enterprises on the idea of AI agents. It is selling them on the idea of knowing whether those agents actually work before something goes wrong.
"Without clear, explainable logs and test-backed validation, teams are deploying AI agents into customer interactions with no way to understand, trust, or improve what those agents are doing," Sprinklr wrote in its Spring 26 announcement.
That is a real enterprise pain point, and Sprinklr has the scale to make the claim credible. The company's CX platform now processes 180 billion customer conversations annually across 1,600 enterprises, including Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, and Samsung, which together represent 59 percent of the Fortune 100, according to Business Wire. Sprinklr was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Voice of the Customer Platforms. This is not a startup trying to establish a category. This is an incumbent telling the market what the new baseline should be.
ARR from generative AI-native Service products, which includes AI agents, Contact Center Intelligence, and agent copilot capabilities, grew 50 percent year-over-year in fiscal 2026, CMSWire reported, citing Sprinklr. That is a company-issued figure without independent verification, but it tracks with the broader 8 percent revenue growth. FY27 guidance of $869 million to $871 million suggests management expects the momentum to continue, the SEC filing shows.
The $200 million stock buyback program authorized March 8 tells you something about how leadership sees the current valuation, per the 8-K filing. In enterprise software, buybacks near earnings often signal confidence that the market is underpricing net dollar retention: customers staying and expanding, rather than new logo growth.
Sprinklr now has 141 customers paying more than $1 million annually, the SEC filing shows. Non-GAAP operating margin improved to 17 percent from 11 percent year-over-year. The margin expansion matters because it suggests the genAI-native products are reaching scale where they contribute to profitability, not just top-line growth.
Our read: Sprinklr has been doing enterprise testing and analytics for years. The real question is whether Autonomous Evaluation is a genuine extension of agent-native capability, meaning bulk simulation environments, behavioral audit trails, and test harnesses purpose-built for autonomous decision-making, or a relabeling of existing monitoring features. The announcement describes bulk testing and AI telemetry in AI+ Studio that help enterprises evaluate AI performance at scale. Whether the underlying system is meaningfully different from prior releases is not determinable from a press release.
In agent infrastructure, the evaluation problem is real and largely unsolved. Enterprises deploying AI agents face a validation gap: they can test whether a model responds correctly to a prompt in a sandbox, but they have limited tools to test whether an autonomous agent, one that takes actions without human approval at each step, behaves predictably under distribution shift, in novel edge cases, or when multiple agents interact.
Sprinklr's bet is that this gap becomes a buying criterion. That enterprises will start requiring evaluation evidence as part of procurement, not just model cards and benchmark scores. If that happens, every AI agent vendor will need an answer to the same question Sprinklr is now asking: show us your agent works before we let it talk to customers.
The comparison to SOC 2 is imperfect. Security audits and AI behavior validation are different problems. But the direction is one enterprises should watch. SOC 2 compliance went from a nice-to-have to a procurement requirement in enterprise SaaS. Sprinklr is betting the same pressure applies to AI agents.
What to watch next: whether Sprinklr publishes methodology for Autonomous Evaluation, not just positioning. For "proof" to mean something beyond marketing, the company will need to show what test runs measure, what pass/fail looks like in practice, and how customers use the results to change deployment decisions. That level of disclosure is rare at launch. Whether Sprinklr does it will determine whether this is a real infrastructure bet or a features release with a narrative attached.
